Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Marguerite Belline lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before moving to Georgia, where she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. She is fluent in Spanish and, as part of her undergraduate studies, she completed a social development comparison study based in Las Higueras, Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. During her time in Mexico, she also stayed with extended family in Nezahualcoyotl, which served to broaden her love for the Mexican culture. Marguerite witnessed firsthand the cultural richness, resilience, and challenges faced by communities navigating cross-border realities. This experience deepened her commitment to advocating for individuals and families seeking new opportunities in the United States. Since 2008, she has practiced immigration law to fight to protect immigrants’ rights regardless of their status. Before joining Bridger Law Group, Marguerite operated her own practice out of Atlanta, Georgia. She specializes in removal defense, family, and humanitarian cases.
In her spare time, Marguerite enjoys spending time with her family and horses on their family farm in Mansfield, Georgia. She is an avid traveler and is always looking forward to planning her next adventure. She is a current member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Georgia-Alabama Chapter of AILA, the U.S. Pony Club, the Mounted Games Association of America (MGAA), the U.S. Dressage Foundation (USDF) and the Georgia Dressage & Combined Training Association (GDCTA). She is admitted to practice before the Georgia State Courts, The Georgia Court of Appeals, The Supreme Court of Georgia, The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
